OLENS French Gold

Updated: Feb 7, 2023

I loved working with Olens Global to review their Scandi collection last year, so I was thrilled when they reached out again for me to review the new French Gold collection!

The package they sent me included:

As always, they did not disappoint!

(And stay until the end to find out which ones I wore on my birthday :)

(By the way, I wore all of these contacts in my Tiktok videos @lainey.laine , so head over there if you want to see more content with these beautiful lenses!)

1. Russian Velvet (Gray, Brown, Blue, Green)

The Russian Velvet line is stylish and chic, and I especially like the bright colors.

These monthly lens are currently Buy 1 Get 1 Free! All Olens products are available everywhere with fast worldwide shipping (DHL 3-5 business days).

Olens' monthly lenses are made of HEMA material (which I explain more in this article), so they are comfortable to wear, don't dry out your eyes, and are easy to keep clean and wear over a longer period of time.

I love all the colors from this collection, but my favorite is probably the blue (left). It's a very pigmented color that looks bright and vibrant even on my dark eyes.

The blue and gray look especially striking, since the light shade is such a contrast to my natural eye color.

There are many colored contact brands out there, but I've stuck to Olens for a few years now now. I prefer their more natural-looking contacts, compared to brands like Solotica. And given the high quality of Olens products, they have comparatively cheaper prices to companies such as TTDEYE.

2. French Gold

The main concept for the new French Gold collection is a 2000s Y2K style. I received these contacts at the perfect time, as I have been obsessed with this trend lately. They're the perfect lenses to complete the y2k outfits I've been into!

All three colors are daily lenses made of Puscon, which provides your eyes comfort and moisture. They have a subtle graphic pattern of three blended colors, and are somewhere between natural and fancy (or "fanatural"), so they're both wearable and chic.

Compared to the BlackPink Scandi collection I reviewed last time, the French Gold lenses are larger in diameter (13.9mm vs 11.9mm). I actually prefer larger contacts like these, because enlarging your pupil makes your entire eye look noticeably bigger.

I love the bright olive hue of these lenses! My interest in green and olive colors began after trying Scandi Olive. Besides the color and size, another difference between the French Gold and Scandi collections is that the pattern of the French Gold lenses go farther to the outside, and have an edge line. The edge line further defines and enlarges the pupils. However, it is not too much, and a bit lighter than ViVi Ring.

Some people who know me know how much I love gray contacts, since some of my most-worn contacts are Olens' Spanish Gray lenses—I love its larger diameter, the edge line, and the beautiful gray hue. However, the French Gold Gray's pattern is comprised of 3 colors (gray, blue-gray, and brown) that blend together to create a much lighter shade of gray.

Along with a darker edge line than that of the French Gold Olive, these lenses look super chic!

And last, but not least, is French Gold Hazel!

These are the "#Bubbly #Lovable Ariana Grande Contact lenses" that definitely live up to their description! They're the most natural color from French Gold 3con, and perfect for everyday wear.

They're comprised of a gold base color, a subtle hazel graphic, and a brown edge line.

I thought they were so cute that I chose to wear them on my birthday! They're subtle, but really brighten up my eyes.
