OLENS Russian Smoky

Updated: Feb 7, 2023

Hyello! I'm back with another Olens review, and this collection is one of my favorite ones yet!

We're going to learn the details about the new Olens Russian Smoky series, and compare them to some other Olens products.

If you're unfamiliar with one of Korea's most popular eye contacts brands, go check out my reviews for Olens Scandi, French Gold, Glowy, and Blackpink May Comeback. And remember to use code .Elaine10. for 10% off your order!

The package I received from Olens includes:

As always, still till the end to find out my favorite! ♡

  • Color: Olive

  • Duration: 1 day (10 pairs / 20 pieces)

  • Graphic Diameter: 13.3 mm

  • Material: Daily (Puscon)

Before After

First on today's list is Olive!

Russian Smoky Olive has this deep olive color with a soft gray edge line, giving your eyes a doe-eyed look. The design is comprised of a blend of natural colors—including green, brown, gold, and gray—creating a 3D effect on the eyes.

I've been more into green-tone contacts since trying Olens' Scandi series. If you're deciding between Scandi Olive, French Gold Olive, Russian Velvet Green, and Russian Smoky Olive, the main differences are the size and design.

Russian Smoky has a larger graphic diameter: 13.3mm compared to Scandi (11.9mm), French Gold (13.1mm), and Russian Velvet (12.7mm). Russian Smoky is also lighter and a bit cooler in tone.

French Gold and Russian Smoky are also the only contacts out of these 4 collections that have an edge line. However, Russian Smoky is has a bit of a gradient design, fading from olive to hazel towards the iris.

Smoky Olive is perfect for elevating a natural look.

I love wearing them outside, because 3D color + sunlight = 😍

  • Color: Brown

  • Duration: 1 day (10 pairs / 20 pieces)

  • Graphic Diameter: 13.3 mm

  • Material: Daily (Puscon)

Next is Russian Smoky Brown!

Although these contacts look light brown at first glance, its design includes a blend of ash and hazel, and a soft brown edge line around the iris.

In addition to the larger graphic diameter, Russian Smoky Brown is a bit lighter than Scandi Hazel, and cooler in tone than French Gold Hazel and Russian Velvet Brown.

Smoky Brown will compliment your everyday look, adding a natural enlarging and brightening effect on your eyes.

  • Color: Gray

  • Duration: 1 day (10 pairs / 20 pieces)

  • Graphic Diameter: 13.3 mm

  • Material: Daily (Puscon)

And last but not least is Russian Smoky Gray!

This might be one of my favorite Olens gray contacts I've tried!

It has such a chic look with a soft gray edge line and a blend of icy blue and light gray.

It's a lighter color than Scandi Gray, French Gold Gray, and Russian Velvet Gray. And the specs of blue make it a much cooler tone as well.

Other brands that make light-colored contacts can look a little artificial, but Russian Smoky Gray also has a bit of brown towards the iris, making the lens look natural despite the hue.

Final thoughts:

I loved all these products, but my personal favorite is still the Smoky Gray. I'm obsessed with the color and they really make your eyes stand out, even if you have naturally darker irises.

On the other hand, one of my friends really likes brown lenses, since she's into a more natural look. This collection has something for everyone!

Russian Smoky is one of my go-to's. It has all my must-have aspects: large graphic diameter, edge line, and blended, dimensional colors.

Which one if your favorite?
